That’s right, as this movie is a unique and exciting adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The lead roles went to Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn, and the audience could not get enough, with an incredible 43 curtain calls on opening night.
It is a Hindi drama film of the 1990s directed by Subhash Ghai. The beauty, the innocence, the undeniable - all consuming fire of first love portrayed to the hilt.
Mostly it remains enjoyable for its color and visual flair.
The movie featured the debut performances of Manisha Koirala and Vivek Mushran.
