Every day I just couldn't wait to go back to the lecture. This story that Engle shares can help and teach people life lessons that could save you. among some other runners, and he goes soft on that but doesn't ignore it. Charlie's story, challenges and his description of how he started to put the pieces together inspired me. Word to the wise: skip the forward if you don't want any blatant spoilers. Another important thing I learned from this book is to not let anything stop you. I loved this one. I won’t ever attempt to run across America like Engle did (or Australia in case you were wondering), but I’m definitely hooked on running and on reading about running. This book is not only an autobiography but a well written autobiography (that doesn't always happen.)

I've really enjoyed the Dean Karnes books (sp?) He stays in his room and raises his silkworms, hiding from prying eyes. The topic she talks about the most is about Tom Leyton and how he was forced to leave his job as a teacher, and also that Joseph should stay away from him. Unfair?
