Now we come to the negative. This page works best with JavaScript. With Rama apparently abandoned, this is a detective story where the explorers look for clues to its origins and intentions. For heaven's sake, don't expect great writing from this book. I think it was that such an orbit would be within Hermian "jurisdiction", so they felt more able to assert their view that malign intentions should be assumed. The vision and scale of this story is epic. Watch something else instead. It's not even on a par with his memorable, ever re-readable short stories like "Rescue Party". It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The entire thing is set in space and it may also partially have to do with my dislike of Sci-Fi that I found it underwhelming, but I'd still be curious what Oscar-nominated writer Arthur C. Clarke thought about this effort as he was still alive when this was released.
The suspense with entering this massive spaceship while encountering so many surprises and things humans had never seen before, it all makes this an icon of SciFi from one of the master writers of the genre. I'd imagine that if someone picked up a book like The Martian 40 years from now they'd find the science somewhat antiquated. With outposts on Jupiter's moons and Saturns too, the human race monitors all asteroids entering the solar system. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. I very much enjoy the author’s style of explaining events trough hard science. Rama is a vast alien spacecraft that enters the Solar System, A perfect cylinder some fifty kilometres long, spinning rapidly, racing through space, Rama is a technological marvel, a mysterious and deeply enigmatic alien artifact. Has a very high re-read factor; I'm up to about my 20th read, hence I've acquired it now on kindle, the paperback fell to pieces. I found all kinds of thought provoking contradictions in its circular topography.
